Supervising solar installation is hard work, y’all. Mom and Dad finally finished hooking up the coop’s new solar setup, and I made sure every wire was peck‑approved. After all that quality control, I had to flop down for a mid‑afternoon nap in my favorite patch of shavings. Renewables and rest—two of my favorite things. ☀️🐔💤
While the panels soak up the sun, the hens scratch and chatter, as if they’re testing the new energy with tiny clucks of approval. The coop feels lighter, a little cooler, and the air smells of fresh pine shavings and warm sun. I’ll admit, there’s something comforting about knowing our little flock can rely on sun power to keep their water flowing and the lights on for evening roosts. In between naps and wire checks, I catch myself planning the next slow project: a simple rain barrel catchment by the run, maybe a new sand area for dust baths so nap times stay peaceful.
